What is Sweatcoin?
Sweatcoin, an app that “pays you” in a type of currency that it aims to eventually turn into cryptocurrency to reach your fitness goals.
The app lets you earn “Sweatcoins,” or points based on the number of steps you take in a day, which you can then use to buy a limited number of specific goods that Sweatcoin has made available. Eventually, Sweatcoins founders aim for it to be listed on cryptocurrency exchanges, but it isn’t yet.

My Personal Experience And Opinion With The App.
I have tried this app for the purpose of this article. I am not so much in walking and exercise but it looks like this app gives me a bit of motivation on doing exercise, which is walking. Not so much on how much Sweatcoin or money I get for doing so but to see how much walking I am doing and I have done. Looking at the stats makes me want to walk more.
If you are into outdoor walking this app is good in tracking how many steps you made and of course, you are getting rewarded on doing what you love doing which is walking. If you decided to walk indoor like walking on a treadmill, sorry to say that this app does not support that because it relies on the GPS to calculate the legitimacy of the steps you made. You know what, walking outdoor is a lot better than staying indoors.
You can invite your friends and follow each other and compare how much steps you were doing and how much sweatcoin you are earning. Pretty good for competitive personality motivates you more to do more walking just to beat that person who is on top.

Upgrade Your Plan
When you first started you are on a “Mover” plan which is free. This means you only earn 5 Sweatcoins per day maximum. Any walking steps you make after that is not counted. This is why it is very good to upgrade if you are doing lots of walking anyway.
The next upgrade is the “Shaker” plan where you are charged 4.75 Sweatcoin per month. This is very good because that 5 Sweatcoin that you are paying monthly is already paid off on your first day of walking. Say on your first day you earned 10 Sweatcoins then half of that is to pay for the plan then the rest is yours.
Don’t think you are out of pocket when you are upgrading into a plan because you are not spending your own money. You just have to make sure you do some walking to pay for the plan that you have. Another great motivation for you to go outdoors and walk.
Want That $1000? Walk A Lot More!
If you are on the free plan the “Mover” plan or the “Shaker” plan, this will take a while to achieve. You have to do a lot of walking to achieve this.
If that $1000 is the motivation for you then that is great. Maybe you need to upgrade to “Breaker” plan, It will cost you 30 Sweatcoins per month but you will have a maximum of 20 Sweatcoin to earn per day. If you maintain to earn 20 Sweatcoin per day then it should be no problem.
Let us do the math. Let’s say you maintaining to earn 20 Sweatcoin per day. Remember 1000 steps is about 1 Sweatcoin approximately. So that will be 1000 x 20 = 20,000 steps, that’s a lot of walking per day.
Ok, so you are a fanatic and don’t mind walking that many steps. How long before you can get that 20,000 Sweatcoin to be able to cash out for that $1,000?
20 Sweatcoin per day x 30 days = 600 Sweatcoins per month
600 Sweatcoin per month – 30 Sweatcoin Fee per month = 530 Sweatcoins per month earned.
20,000 Sweatcoins total target / 530 Sweatcoins per month = 37.73 Months or 3 years
3 years seems a very long time but you can lessen that if you are good at referring. Don’t forget you are getting fit at the same time.

I’m not sure if this will work but try it out. Sweatcoin app uses your GPS to track your movement so yeah it might not work.
I have tried it and seems to work but I only did it for a short period or short walk.
If you are worried about your data then try this if it will work.
Turn on your airplane mode. Open your Sweatcoin app then go and walk around. Then go back home or where you have wifi or data then get out of airplane mode and “FORCE SEND” your unsent steps.
